Celebrating Nicole Burns
It’s our honor to introduce a dancer who has been setting the stage on fire for years—Nicole Burns! For nine years, she has called Dance Machines Dance Studio her home, studying every genre from the classic elegance of ballet to the rhythm of hip-hop and the theatrics of musical theatre. Nicole's bright smile, captivating stage presence, and passion for dance make her an invaluable member of our team.
As a veteran of our "Crew" competition team, Nicole is no stranger to the stage or the winner's circle. She has been recognized and won numerous awards at many of the dance competitions. She even wowed the judges at the Imagine Dance competition, winning a scholarship to Battle on the Seas — a dance competition on a cruise! When her feet aren’t dancing, then you may find Nicole spending time singing and performing in theatre productions. We are so proud of Nicole, our amazing triple threat, and we can't wait to see her continue to shine both on and off the stage!

How many years have you been dancing?
9 Years
What are some accomplishments (at dance, school, or anywhere) that you are most proud of?
Getting my back walkover; performing as Belle in my school theater production of Beauty and the Beast; being invited to a competition/convention cruise at Imagine Dance competition last year
What is your favorite dance memory?
Being in Galveston and hanging out with my friends
What is your favorite stle of dance, and what do you love about it?
Jazz and tap - I love in tap that you can make so many different sounds. And in jazz, I get to be really flexible and bendy.
What is your favorite dance move?
Scorpion and a Shirley Temple (flap heel heel brush heel toe heel)
If you had a dance superpower, what would it be?
Flexibility!
What are your favorite things to do when you are not dancing?
Baking, eating, crafts, and legos
Who is a dancer that you look up to and why?
Daniella Goff because she was so kind and sweet; Avery Schaffer because she is kind and talented; Maddyn Waugh because she's nice, good at dancing, and is a great big sister to Lively
What is your favorite dance joke or a fun fact about yourself?
A fun fact about me is that I am in student council at school
